Get closer

What’s next?

Did you know that there are no straight lines in the universe? Life doesn’t travel in perfectly straight lines. It moves more like a winding river. More often than not, you can only see to the next bend, and only when you reach that next turn can you see more…

What you see?

People create their own questions because they are afraid to look straight. All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don’t sit looking at it – walk.

The Unexpected

Great Expectations we all know the thought or the feeling that  comes with it. Sometimes we have great expectations of the people around us, who we will be, where we will go… and then, we get there… And you ask yourself how did it happen?

We all think we’re going to be great. And we feel a little bit robbed when our expectations aren’t met. But sometimes, our expectations sell us short. Sometimes the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. You gotta wonder why we cling to our expectations because the expected is just what keeps us steady, standing still…

The expected’s just the beginning. The unexpected is what changes our lives.

Step by Step… Drop by Drop

Here we are in 2010 :D a year that I know it will be great. It’s hard  to say “I know” instead of  “I hope”… but don’t be afraid to use ” I know” because it’s great to feel that you will be right and don’t forget  the best is yet to come :D . Step by step we will succeed in those things we wish and to those things we want. And all you need to accomplish this, are the 6 human needs :

Certainty/Comfort ;  Variety;  Significance;   Connection/ Love;  Growth;  & Contribution

& of course you need to WANT it veryyyyy badly :D

Locked love

Most of the times couples have the habit to carve their names on trees to show the “world” their love last forever. Well, I never thought that there could be another way to let the world know that  you love somebody. But there is :)

During my visit in China, on Mount Huang (also called the Yellow Mountain) I saw the chinese way of showing their love.

They don’t carve their names on trees, they hang on a chain two padlocks after inscribing their name or initials on it. Some couples use two inter-twined locks. Those locks can not be separated because the keys will be thrown away as a symbol of their undying and forever love.

Colouring my life

I guess everybody knows the quote “Life is not only black and white”. In my world ‘life’ was not all colourful, at least ‘orange’ didn’t play a big role. I honestly admit that I didn’t even consider it  to be a colour. I couldn’t imagine how this colour could paint my life. But because from time to time changes come into our world… ‘orange’ surrendered me. I started to adore it. So, I reached  the conclusion  that  autumn and my life would be “black & white” without orange.

On top of the world…

…So what motivates me? John Ruskin once said: “Mountains are the beginning and end of natural scenery” and the canvas of white  snow. Blue sky and green pine is certainly worth the trip alone. Then there is the air. The altitude is thinner and its powers of invigoration instant. Just watching your breath vaporize as you step outside first thing in the morning makes your heart leap. Naturally the temperatures are low, you simply can’t have snow without them, but with the high-tech insulated clothing available today, there’s no reason for those with even the feeblest circulation to actually suffer. And, in any case, most of the time you are feeling the glow of the sun on your face, endowing you with a vibrant  feeling that will last  until bedtime…
